If you are a Blackberry addict then CrackBerry has some good news for you. As rumoured earlier, Blackberry indeed is coming out with a SmartWatch.
So, what is it exactly?
It is NOT a standalone device and does not aim to replace your smart-phone. It will be an add-on accessory to your Blackberry smart-phone and will communicate with it using Bluetooth.
Features
- OLED screen
- Primary objective of the watch is to act as a previewer and provide an easy access to your messages/mails/calls, especially when you cannot check you smart-phone (while driving or when you are a meeting etc).
- Specifically designed for Blackberry smart-phones.
- Probably branded as inPulse.
There is a high possibility that the germs of the idea came from Eric Migicovsky who presented it at LaunchPad $50K Pitch Competition(Pic -4 ) last year. Pic -3 below (very early-stage development) suggests that Eric’s company could be involved in the development of the Watch. Sony-Ericsson and LG have come-up with similar products in the past.
A recent poll conducted by CrackBerry asking:
“Would you buy/use a Bluetooth BlackBerry-Watch?”
Out of some 17k votes
37% said Yes
27% No
And 37% want to see the device before making a decision.
How about you?
